Bike Light. Un progetto creativo di Dylan Wiener

Dylan Wiener, laureato in industrial design alla Northumbria University nel Regno Unito, ha realizzato questo interessante progetto creativo dedicato ad un dispositivo di illuminazione per bicicletta. Bike Light, questo è il semplice nome utilizzato da Dylan, si ispira al sistema di aggancio delle “mollette”.

Un design pulito ed elegante, per un accessorio essenziale alla sicurezza dei ciclisti. La visibilità, non solo notturna, è fondamentale quando si affrontano percorsi condivisi con il traffico veicolare. Bike Light è progettato per essere di facile utilizzo e sempre a portata di mano. Si fissa in un attimo alla bici, senza bisogno di montare ulteriori supporti alla stessa.

Un unico pulsante per gestire le modalità di accensione e illuminazione situato nella parte inferiore del dispositivo. Invece sul lato posteriore è presente uno sportello che da accesso alla presa USB per la ricarica e alle due viti per la sostituzione della batteria e le lampade LED.

” this was a short project that I worked on during march in which I explored creating a quick and easy to use bicycle light. it was inspired by some of my own frustration’s with bike lights and other bicycle accessories as well as observations of friend’s using theirs. the central theme of speed and ease of use was important because in addressing both it would help encourage people to use their lights, instead of opting to leave them at home to save time. “

” one of the ideas that helped focus my work at the beginning was removing the need for a pre-attached mount in order to attach your lights. this would be replaced by a spring-based mechanism that would allow the bike lights to be easily clipped to the bicycle frame, helping to simplify the experience of using them. ”
