Le illustrazioni di Olga Shtonda. Bike Year

Olga Shtonda è una giovane artista che vive e lavora a Kharkiv in Ucraina e si dedica principalmente a creare ed illustrare libri per bambini. Abbiamo scelto per voi una serie di illustrazioni intitolate Bike Year che sono state realizzate per un progetto di calendario dedicato alla bicicletta. Queste opere sono state selezionate al Bologna Book Fair Illustrators Exhibition 2019.

“Hi! My name is Olga Shtonda. I’m an artist and illustrator from Kharkiv, Ukraine. I graduated from Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts where I have studied book graphics (2009-2015). I make illustrations for children’s books, magazines, advertising. I’m also fond of creating my own stories and short animated videos.

I like to combine different materials and technics such as ink, pencils, collages and printmaking. In between illustrating, I love traveling, riding my bicycle and observing people. It always helps to collect materials, stories and ideas for my next artworks. My works are highly inspired by humans and nature, they are fun and cheerful because I like to make people smile:)”
