Lisa Coutts e le sue illustrazioni ispirate alla bici
Andiamo in Australia a conoscere l’arte di Lisa Coutts con una serie di dieci illustrazioni tutte dedicate alla bicicletta, che è anche una delle sue grandi passioni.
” I’m lisa – a freelance illustrator living and working in Melbourne, Australia. I completed a BA in Graphic Design at Swinburne in 1993. I started out with grand plans to go into advertising, but quickly developed a love and passion for illustration and drawing so put all my efforts into it. After graduation I went straight into a life of freelance illustration (despite being advised to work as a graphic designer first!).
Not once have I regretted my decision – I have illustrated many and varied projects from books for children and YA, both educational and trade, magazines, cards, posters, packages and events. I have exhibited my work in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide and I participate in various illustrators exhibitions. I often take private commissions and my work has homes all over the world. My favourite mediums are dry pastel on paper, acrylic paint and digital – sometimes a combo of all. I aim to capture the small things in life, enhance them with a bit of humour or whimsy and imagination. I am a member of Illustrators Australia (IA) and have been a committee member for several years.”
